1946 Seagrave Fire
Engine
- Our 1946 Seagrave Firetruck is
considered a Model 170-750 gallon per minute Triple
Pumping Engine. The firewall plaque displays Model
66EB, Serial Number C8510, and a completion date of July
2, 1946.

- The following information deals
with the pump as copied from the Seagrave booklet.

- The powertrain consists of a V-12
gas engine displacing 462 cubic inches and 4 spd forward
and one reverse transmission. Horsepower is rated
at 185.
The pump is the Seagrave highly
efficient Two-Stage "Parallel-Series" type Centrifugal.
Pump capacities from normal draw are
- 750 gallons at 150 lbs.
- 525 gallons at 200 lbs.
- 375 gallons at 250 lbs.
Pump capacities from hydrant at 50 lbs.
flowing pressure are
- 1100 gallons at 120 lbs.
- 725 gallons at 200 lbs.
- 500 gallons at 250 lbs.
- We hope that this engine will be
restored to its original condition over time.
